NexTech Practice 2010 Selected to Participate in Maryland Health Care Commission’s EHR Program
Tampa, FL—September 2009 — NexTech Systems Inc.®, the leader in practice management, marketing and electronic medical record (EMR) software for plastic surgery, dermatology, and other specialties, is pleased to announce that it has met the criteria necessary to participate in the Maryland Health Care Commission’s (MHCCs) EHR Product Portfolio. NexTech Practice 2010 was selected based upon a number of criteria, including its 2008 CCHIT certification. This certification reflects NexTech’s meeting stringent standards such as those for functionality, interoperability, and security.

MHCC has developed an EHR Product Portfolio to provide physicians with evaluation and comparison information on EHRs. The Portfolio contains a core set of product information that will assist physicians in assessing EHRs. The Portfolio includes only those vendors that meet the most stringent 2008 CCHIT certification.
